In the second quarter of 2011 The Bateleurs flew seven missions. These included a flight to count Ludwig’s Bustards in the Karoo, an aerial investigation of mining by Exxaro at Mtunzini, tracking collared cheetahs in the Kgalagadi, capturing aerial imagery of fly ash dumps near Witbank for 50/50, tracking collared wild dogs in the Waterberg, counting eggs in the nests of wattled cranes in the KZN Midlands, and tracking collared leopards in the Baviaanskloof. All seven of these missions were flown for beneficiaries well-known to us and who have made use of our services in the past.
