This week, Odi, a pangolin in critical need of medical attention from Khamab Game Reserve in the NW Province, was successfully rescued by their ecologist Hanno Killian. Subsequently, Bateleurs pilot, Roger Bozzoli, and Johannesburg Wildlife Vet Hospital’s Dr Karin Lourens, swiftly transported Odi to Johannesburg.
Upon arrival at the Johannesburg Wildlife Vet Hospital, Odi has received care and treatment in the capable and compassionate hands of Dr. Karin Lourens, a renowned expert in the field of wildlife veterinary care.
As of today, there's a glimmer of optimism in Odi's journey to recovery. With the dedicated efforts of Dr. Lourens and the entire team at the Johannesburg Wildlife Vet Hospital, Odi's health is steadily improving.
